Dozens of Sydneysiders have attended a party they’ll never forget for all the wrong reasons. Twenty eight people participated in a late night house party in Bondi Junction overnight. Neighbours reported the party and a noise complaint, resulting in New South Wales Police attending the Oxford Street address. There, police allege, they found a large group in the home.
After speaking with a 26 year old man, it was established that he was one of four occupants in the house. The issue, however, was there was also 24 guests inside. That would contravene NSW’s covid-19 restrictions, which limits indoor gatherings to 20.
Police said, all 28 people will be issued with $1,000 penalty infringement notices. The restrictions on gatherings remain despite continually low Covid-19 cases across the state.
