Former president of Poland spoke about the US earnings on the quarrels of his country with Russia

Former President of Poland Lech Walesa told in an interview with RIA Novosti how the United States earns from the quarrels between Russia and Poland.

The Lord God decided that we are neighbors. And we will not be able to move neither Russia nor Poland from their places. Our quarrels lead to the fact that a third person earns on us, the former head of state said. He clarified that he means several countries, including the United States.

In particular, Walesa criticized the decision of the current Polish leaders to buy American liquefied gas instead of Russian. It will always be closer from Gdansk to Moscow than to Washington, the politician recalled, talking about the benefits. He also called the current President of Poland Andrzej Duda a misfortune for the country.

Walesa said earlier that Poland should come to terms with Russia. According to him, the era of dividing borders has long passed, giving way to the era of discussions, which already involves completely different solutions.

Poland is facing significant financial challenges as it grapples with an increasing budget deficit. This is largely due to higher expenses related to defence, social welfare, and servicing its national debt. The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has created a tense geopolitical environment, prompting the Polish government to make substantial investments in military capabilities.
