Governor of Alexandria: We will not expel a citizen from his apartment, even if it is a violation

ree

Major General Muhammad al-Sharif, Governor of Alexandria, said that the law of reconciliation over building violations is in the interest of the citizen and serves the violating citizen, especially with the presence of more than 134,000 removal decisions from 2011 until 2019 of which only 4,080 of them were implemented until the end of 2019.

He added during a telephone interview with the journalist Moataz Al-Demerdash, presenter of the 90 minutes program on the axis screen, on Friday evening: we are carrying out the removals immediately since January 1 and what we have implemented in terms of removals starting from this period almost exceeds what was implemented during the last 6 years.

And about the possibility of demolishing the house if the citizen does not own someone else, Al-Sharif said there is no citizen who lives in an apartment with his family. He will expel the apartment in order to remove it. Stressing that the target of the Reconciliation Law is to stop randomness, as more than 1,800 cases have been referred to the Military Prosecution of corrupt contractors who have earned millions of pounds as a result of these violations.

He pointed out that the value of the sums collected in the reconciliation processes aims to serve the citizen, by developing the infrastructure of the governorate and serving the areas that have become random and irregular, and then the state will use these sums to correct the wrong conditions and make the infrastructure crumbling.
