Madbouly directs the governor of Giza to address building violations


Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, held a meeting to follow up on a number of projects being implemented in Giza Governorate as well as efforts to remove infringements and the number of applicants for reconciliation requests for the governorate, in the presence of Major General Ahmed Rashid, Governor of Giza and Major General Tariq Marzouq, Director of Giza Security.


At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the need to confront any random construction on agricultural land and stop it immediately provided that this file is dealt with decisively stressing that the immediate dealings with violations will not be tolerated, and we will stop any attempts to build a violation whether on land. If this file has become a national security issue construction violations and what they cause threaten national security stressing that any attempt to build in violation of these lands continues to be transferred to the Military Prosecution immediately.

Dr. Mustafa Madbouly said, everyone bears his responsibility in the administrative area he is in charge of starting from the village officials and the Agricultural Society and even the most senior official in the governorate. Dr. Madbouly called for setting a clear plan that includes identifying those responsible for following up the random construction that violates the administration in the governorate, as well as from the security point of view in the Security Directorate stressing saying, the state is present and the law will be implemented on everyone and the hand of law is strong. During the meeting, Major General Ahmed Rashid, Governor of Giza said, since I assumed my position, I have been assigned to confront the phenomenon of illegal construction in the governorate and restore discipline to Giza streets in general, and since that time clearance work is carried out on a daily basis, indicating that from 2011 until 2018, there were 134,219 cases, 6,091 cases were implemented, 5% of them were implemented, and in the period from 2018 to 2020, the number of removal decisions issued reached 21,500, of which 13,835 cases were implemented, with an implementation rate of 64% and the number of applicants for reconciliation requests reached 14,000 and they were collected 294 million pounds adding We will not hesitate or turn a blind eye to any violation and it will be dealt with with the utmost firmness and strictness.


For his part, the Giza Security Director said, the recent period witnessed decisive dealings with the major violators in the governorate and in this regard a large number of them have been seized and we are continuing to implement the law and modern technologies will help us quickly detect any violation and deal with it promptly. Stressing that coordination with the governorate is complete in this regard, as the removal work is done periodically.


During the meeting, the Governor of Giza reviewed the previous and current proposal to develop the Al Arbaeen Street sector and the plan for developing the Khatam Al Morsalin Street sector from Terat Al Zomor Street in the east to Othman Muharram Street in the west.


The governor touched on explaining the features of the development of Moneeb Square, starting with the inventory of plots of land, as it was found that there are unused plots of land, either private or belonging to the Ministry of Endowments or Agricultural Reform, or the Ministry of Irrigation and the operational lines of transport vehicles in Moneeb Square were reviewed, which amount to 17 lines. Points that can be removed in order to expand the road, and to study the various activities that can be established.

The El Moneeb Square development project consists of El Moneeb Mobility Center stone seating terraces, green roofs for the main building shaded sessions, a pedestrian crossing, a commercial path, garden gates, elevated pedestrian crossings and shops.


The governor of Giza reviewed the road development project for North Giza, the movement axes which include the streets of airport extension of the unit and Izbat al-Matar. The number of housing units proposed to be re-populated in the three streets is 789 units, while the number of shops proposed to be resettled or replaced is 350.
