Minister of Religion Fachrul Razi Admits Lies About Cutting BOS Funds

The members of Commission VIII DPR RI became angry after learning that the Ministry of Religion ( Kemenag ) had arbitrarily cut School Operational Assistance funds for madrasas. This was revealed in the Commission VIII DPR RI Working Meeting (Raker) with the Ministry of Religion on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. It all started with complaints from private madrasah managers who reported that the Ministry of Religion had cut BOS funds of Rp. 100,000 per student.
Chairman of Commission VIII DPR from the National Mandate Party (PAN) Faction Yandri Susanto assessed that the Ministry of Religion had lied and had broken its promise. In fact, the Director General of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Religion has promised not to cut BOS funds during the Covid-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia.
Yandri said, we made a promise, our promise was lied to, how about the others. We Commission eight never approved the deduction (BOS funds).
