Qalibaf calls for developing and strengthening relations between Iran and Russia

The head of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf, indicated that there are many common points in the bilateral, regional and international fields between Iran and Russia, calling for the need to develop and strengthen relations between the two countries.
After his arrival in Moscow on Sunday evening, and in a statement he made at the Iranian embassy in a crowd of directors of Iranian institutions operating in Russia.
Qalibaf said, Iran and Russia have shared and convergent views on various international issues that would provide more ground for the consolidation of bilateral relations.
He pointed to the importance of relations between Iran and Russia and the continuing pace of development of cooperation in various fields, adding: By making use of common points, their weaknesses can be overcome.
Qalibaf pointed out to His Eminence the Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s emphasis on developing and deepening relations between Iran and Russia and expanding the structure of bilateral cooperation, adding: One of the most important goals of the visit to Russia is to reassure Russians that relations between Tehran and Moscow will not be affected by global developments.
The head of the Islamic Consultative Assembly said, Today we are in an economic war, and it is the responsibility of every Iranian official to make the necessary efforts to address the problems of the citizens.”
Qalibaf, who is accompanied by a parliamentary delegation during the visit, will meet with a number of senior Russian officials and deliver a speech at the Diplomatic Academy in Moscow on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
