From Cusco, the relatives of Mary Lucero Mesco Molina ( 25 ), who has been missing for two months in Mexico asked President Martín Vizcarra for help to find her. Maricielo, the young mother's sister, said Lucero went to Mexico in early August of this year to request custody of her four year old daughter. The family last contacted her on August 13 when she was in Guadalajara.
After a few weeks, Edson Cabrera, her sister's Mexican friend called her to tell her that Lucero was kidnapped by the Jalisco Cartel and they were asking for a 250 thousand pesos (40 thousand soles) reward. The Mesco Molia family deposited the money on August 28 and since then they have not heard from Lucero. According to Maricielo, since they paid the reward they cannot communicate with Edson Cabrera, so now they suspect everything he said was false.
As for Mary's husband, he stopped communicating with the family, even blocking them from social networks. The relatives requested the intermediation of President Martín Vizcarra, the Minister of Foreign Relations and the Minister of Women, to intercede with the Mexican authorities in order to carry out the search for Lucero. She had her ticket back to Peru for the month of September, she was to return with her four-year-old daughter, who is now in the custody of her father in Mexico.
