Star investor Buffett is restructuring his portfolio

Star investor Warren Buffett has invested in the telephone company Verizon and the oil company Chevron on a large scale. Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway now holds shares of $ 8.6 billion in Verizon.


This emerges from a communication to the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday. At Chevron there are papers with a volume of 4.1 billion dollars, it said.


Berkshire also increased its stakes in pharmaceutical companies Abbvie, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Merck & Co, while the investment vehicle sold shares in Pfizer and Apple.


Buffett increased his stake in the US subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, T-Mobile US, from 2.4 to 5.2 million shares. In total, Berkshire Hathaway has interests in more than 90 companies.
